Anyway he said the 144,000 is a legimate number because it says there is one Jesus or lamb and I was like ok whatever you say.
The idiot elders who called on me (the last time before I left) said the same thing. The number "one" is obviously literal - so the number "144000" must be literal too.
I could not believe it.
I just looked at him for a minute - and then said: But it says one LAMB!!! Is Jesus LITERALLY a LAMB???

Yeah, this is what made me start to dismiss this religion nearly two years ago. I looked at Revelations where is spoke of the 144,000 and it spoke of literal Jews from 12 literal tribes. I knew something was up then.
