Amen to the deliberateness of omiting this info! The more we know about them, the more we can match our lives to their lives and see they have no magical powers.

Ha! I was always bugged by the GB using a middle initial when their names were printed e.g. Fred W. Franz, Albert D. Schroeder, Ulysses V. Glass.

Why? Does the middle initial differentiate you from thousands of other namesakes? Will everyone be confused about who you are ?

Unless your name is John Smith or David Jones then use of your middle initial is pompous and pretentious.

Too funny!

Using the full name and initial is consider the formal way to write names such as in APA rules for formal papers. So, this is not a big deal as near as I can say. Right hundreds of papers for your Master's degree and you might do so as well.

red21: Good point, expect I'm thinking no one on the GB writes according to APA rules. If the did, they'd also know that have to cite their sources , something they rarely do, and even when they do, they do not use APA or MLS format.

The only Master's Degrees they hold is a M.A. in B.S.!
