The following is a rough summation of "helpful critique" by some of our European friends:
Americans are cowboys!
Americans are ignorant cowboys!
Americans are ignorant cowboys who squander their money!
Americans are ignorant cowboys who squander their money and mind other peoples business!
Americans are ignorant cowboys who squander their money, mind other peoples business, and are just plain "out of it" when it comes to understanding the rest of the world!
Americans are ignorant cowboys who squander their money, mind other peoples business, are just plain "out of it" when it comes to understanding the rest of the world, and most do not have passports!
Americans are ignorant cowboys who squander their money, mind other peoples business, are just plain "out of it" when it comes to understanding the rest of the world, most do not have passports and are overly sensitive to criticisms stupidly feeling we are bashing them!

Now I understand why for thousands of years Europeans have slaughtered one another! They like to bicker!! They seem to thrive on fighting and bickering, all the while exhibiting a superior attitude toward the "inferior" European; which of course is usually the one they happen to be bickering with at the time!
The damage done by Europe's imperialistic tentacles is behind many of the political problems in the world today, including the Middle East.
The U.S. did not plant the rootstock of the political world we have lived in for the last century, Europe did! If when playing the "traditional" role of a Great World Power America is lacking,
it is that she is not following closely enough the well worn path of her European mentors who have pressed the sword into the flesh of their fellows with their right hand while shattering their dignity with the left. Give us more time to learn your craft!
