I'm gathering (or at least trying to gather) same background info on the GB members. It's surprisingly difficult to do!!!
It would seem that Guy H. Pierce is currently on his 2nd Marriage. Does anyone know if he is Divorced or Widowed? What were the circumstances?
Also, I do know that both Charles Taze Russell and Joseph Rutherford were divorced. Do you know if any other GB guys were divorced? Again, what were the circumstances?

I had never heard that Rutherford was divorced. I thought he just separated from the wife and son and lived with Bonnie and Berti...

Iamallcool: I PM'd her once about this, but she wouldn't say. I understand. She doesn't really know me. She did once allude publicly about a GB brother being in a Judicial Committee for wife abuse, but wouldn't say which one.
james_woods: Perhaps the info I have about Rutherford is wrong. It's really hard to get good, solid facts on these guys. They're more slippery than Newt Gingrich!

Barbara gives a bit more background info in this thread. It is quite surprising that a divorced man became a GB member , whatever the circumstances.
Ewart Chitty & Leo Greenlees were never divorced. Having said that , they were never married either.
Wish there was more also on their kids, biological and stepkids.

Oh my. I was reading all these headings with Guy Pierce, and I was wondering what he had to do with the jw's. (the actor, of course... didn't know a GB had that name,lol)
