  It's crap like this that seals the deal for me that this is a delusional cult. Someone close to me was a victim of this kind of abuse and I spent a lot of time reading books written by therapist who specialize in the treatment of these victims. And it doesn't matter if the abuse happened 30 minutes ago or 30 years ago, the wounds are HORRIBLE. It is a horrific crime that is on it's own level of depravity. If some douchebag elder or MS managed to hide his crime and even rise through the WT ranks and then is exposed (with credible evidence) then HE HAS TO BE REMOVED. even if the statue of limitations has expired and they can't prosecute him, the least they could do is REMOVE him from a position of oversight. The fact that he would be allowed to continue to serve and even have his name protected from some form of watch list is a sheer madness.

  BTW, if a elder or MS is found to have committed this crime years ago, is there any attempt to try to help the victim? or are they just written off?

  Of all the damage the WT machine wreaks upon its victims, the protection of pedophiles is right up there as the most atrocious along with the blood issue.

  Not only is the protection of these bastards horrendous, they double down on the evil by offering no help to the victims. Those are scars that last a lifetime, and likely decades go by before they finally get the professional help they need. But the damage is done.

  I like Warden Norton's idea from Shawshank Redemption for the old guys at the top: "I'll cast you down with the Sodomites. You'll think you've been f*cked by a train!"

  I don't think the WT cares about pedophiles one way or the other. It is clear children have always been a distraction since children are not little adults. I repeatedly make the statement that the two witness rule is a matter of church governance and that notice should be given to the authorities. The authorities don't give a damn about the spirituality of the alleged offender.

  Secular common law has develped due process concerns and rules over many hundreds of years to protect the alleged pedophile. Due process is not confined to criminals. Rape laws now required some corroboration but it is minimal compared to the not so distant past. The JW spiritual concerns and the state's concerns are separate. Reporting to authorities does not adjudicate the spiritual matter. Render Caesar's things onto Caesar.

  They focus on one little scripture compared to all the concerns for justice in most of the Bible. So let the pedophile sit in Caesar's prison, protecting society. The two witness rule can apply to spiritual matters. I am certain Roman law had precedence.

  This is not about children but the naked assertion of power. I fail to see how the WT Society is compromised by people turning to the state for secular matters. Murder is both a secular crime and moral no no encoded in the Ten Commandments. The Two Witness Rules overreaches. They cling to power merely to cling to power. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Rank and file can suffer much but when the Borg's property assets are threatened they move. If I recall, German JWs went to concentration camps. Well, they should --until the Nazis moved to confiscated Society property. Nice, nice letter to Hitler.

  They don't have the basic moral values of most cultures. I wish this situation would receive more publicity. The Catholic Church receives it. Are we chopped liver? They have a First Amendment right to require two witnesses for church process. There is no First Amendment right to hide and commit crimes. They say apples are oranges.

  "They want to have a squeeky clean image in front of the public" too true, and that takes precedence over care and concern for the victims, they simply do not matter to the WT.

  As long as it is all swept under the carpet, they do not care.

  It is our responsibility as people who do care, we owe it to the victims, to publicise this terrible scandal a much as possible.

  Why do we owe it to the victims ? because at one time we supported the WT, in all its disgusting filth, true, at the time we did not know where our money and hours of labour were going, but even so, we owe, big time, so please ,all you good people on here,do all you can to support any efforts on here to expose the WT for what it is, and hopefully to protect the little ones from harm in the future.

  So Beth Hell can decide not to inform the new congregation. Notice too the statute of limitations on elders sins - he can continue serving if he molested the child many years ago.
