We are spiritual creatures in physical bodies. So nothing would have needed to be destroyed. The spirit continues to e x ist in a physical body because they are two different things. Spirit is us. Spirit in a physical body is just us in a physical body.

I would say no because he was transferred to the virgin mary. This took a miracle so no explanation needed.

Not sure how wt would explain it but i would say that if god can take a human and make him a spirit (1 Corinthians 15:44-45) then why not vise versa?
