He spoke a lot about the March Awake! magazine but it's already been on there and is now archived. This means his credibility is still in doubt. Two weeks ago when Johnny had been on he had asked that people send items on perceived Watchtower wrongdoings to an email from which he or other underground pro-reform Bethelites would retrieve them and pass the ones that weren't obviously from kooks but sincere on to the District Attorney's office. He was asked to instead see if the other Bethelites and D.A.'s office would okay that such items be sent directly to the D.A.'s office. He said he had done as asked and it's okay, that also people can phone the D.A.'s office if they prefer. Johnny said the D.A. has been investigating Watchtower since 2005. {When hearing Johnny speak I misthought he was saying "J. $17 MILLION LAWSUIT TO HIT FROM OUT OF THE U.K.
Although in the past few days news on the internet told of Paul Woods being convicted of pedophilia against JW kids in the U.K. it did not give all the details and extra news that Johnny told. There were up to 15 counts against Woods who may have had at least 20 victims. He had also been caught wearing his wife's undergarments and was an elder--details of little relevance in the U.S. but which Johnny said to his surprise was a big concern in the U.K. {COMMENT: Johnny mentioned that Woods was an elder. I checked on the internet and found this appears confirmed at http://opencharities.org/charities/1065381 which lists him among Trustees of the Reading Tilehurst Congregation. If as in the U.S. then such positions are at least normally held only by Watchtower's elders.} Still another lawsuit, this one for $17 million dollars has been generated against Watchtower in both the U.K. and the U.S. because Watchtower just moved Woods around to other congregations instead of protecting the children. Since Woods has now been convicted Johnny says Watchtower will definitely have to pay out the money. His victims ranged from 9 to 15 years old. One sister had asked Woods "How can I be a better pioneer sister?" and his answering response was to then reach over and molest her.
ARKANSAS LAWSUIT
Some other lawsuits are crashing down on Watchtower, putting it in the glaring lights of the news media, which is something Watchtower is desperate to try to avoid. In the past after 2006 two publications emphasized that JWs need to avoid lawsuits but that's not working. For example a Fayetteville, Arkansas, corporation is being sued for not having given a JW a day off at work. Johnny said he believes the elders over the JW pressing the lawsuit may try to talk the person out of it. GREENWICH PORT, NEW YORK LAWSUIT
Look for an article on the Samfordadvocate.com's (spelling?? Sanford or Stanford perhaps??) article "Prairie Farm In Greenwich To Sell For $1 Million." This pertains to a farm property owned in Greenwich Port, New York. The owner of 2-3 acrees that Watchtower bought is suing Watchtower because he says the property was fraudulently purchased from under him at only 1/4th of what he had wanted. It was sold at only $1 million to Watchtower but he had wanted $4 million. Watchtower also bought adjacent property for only $500,000. Supposedly Watchtower was interested in the properties for building kingdom halls there but in reality it was just to get even more money. The owner's name is Delgante. It may be the man's agent was given something so that he sold out so low. {Comment: I found a stamfordadvocate.com but it's in Connecticutt and didn't have the article; has it maybe not yet been posted or maybe withdrawn or archived but untrievable unless with a subscription?? or maybe in the real-world paper but not online?}
An item not yet on the internet is that a sister had remarried some four times, the most recent marriage being to a man who has been described as a "control freak." Her son by one of the marriages went to visit his biological father who found bruises all over him and took photos then told his ex-wife that she would now either give him access to the son or else he was filing a lawsuit. Her current husband and she said "No" and therefore the story will be winding up in a paper. VANGUARD
Vanguard Documents is an independent producer of shock documentaries with a major, solid reputation on having covered things such as about the drug war. Johnny said they are now "circling Brooklyn like hawks." Watchtower has assigned Bethelites to film them back. Vanguard is trying to get some of the Bethelites to talk before the camera, but Geoffrey Jackson (Governing Body bigshot) has ordered them not to talk. If they say a word they can count on being disfellowshipped. It's said Vanguard hopes to have its documentary ready to go by the end of February or start of March. Johnny said for example the documentary would go out via Comcast 107, Time-Warner 103 in New York and 142 in Los Angeles, California.
TUNNELS WITH BUNKERS DETAILS EMERGING
Watchtower is wanting tunnels interconnecting its new world headquarters sites at Warwick, Ramalpo and Tuxedo, and Johnny told that the tunnels will not just be for traffic moving supplies etc from site-to-site but will also have bunkers and provisions stocked. One of the Council members at Warwick in regard to the tunnel plans has commented something like "Oh, so we'll have here your own underground Vatican!" There will be above-the-ground dormitories, the doors/gates exiting the ground outside are to have a very old-looking appearance and make it hard to guess what they are. The soil is soft and building them will be very expensive. |
