Anony Mous - do you think it would be possible to repeat the exercise to broadcast my latest survey?

So far, only 5 serving elders have participated. That's not bad for the first week, but I would ideally like to get a whole lot more elders involved over the next 11 months if possible.

The questions for elders are personalized, and include such questions as: "Have you ever regretted a decision that you have arrived at on a judicial committee?" and stuff like that.

Anyway, if you could help me with this in any way whatsoever, I would really appreciate it.

Cedars I think that would be a great idea. I had the same thought as I was just reading through your own message to the GB. However, given the breach, they are probably already hard at work compiling a list of new email addresses.

Doesn't hurt to try, I suppose.

Thanks irondork, it's nice that you're on my wavelength. I've been discussing the GB letter with Juan Viejo2, and we're formulating a strategy to get the letter spread out as widely as possible.

I'm sure many of the email addresses will since have been changed, but it doesn't hurt to give it a go!

Cedars, you have a PM with the mailing lists. The lists have every elder involved in the monetary decision-making chain (including all CO's and DO's) for all kingdom halls, assembly halls and projects (the only thing Bethel seems to care about enough to make a mailing list for). According to the person that gave it to me (someone with access to the technical side of things), at least 70% of elders in the US are on those lists. The list is fairly recent, only the latest formed assembly halls and circuits might not be on there.

Please keep the lists secret, we don't want them to close it down.

If you want to make it seem legitimate, use the above letter as template for your message. I had my accounts closed after sending my message by the provider I was using. My provider did not want to say why so it wasn't a DMCA request or a spam complaint.

Thanks Anony Mous - wow, that was more than I bargained for.

So are you saying that if I try emailing these people, my internet service provider will withdraw my connection?

Hi cedars, It is very easy to create many email accounts, so create one for just sending out emails to the JWs and don't use your personal account.

Peace be with you and everyone, who you know,

Thanks ABible Student. However, Anony Mous seemed to be referring to the closure of his or her ISP account, rather than simply the email account itself - unless I've misinterpreted the comment. If I get dumped by my ISP, that might cause me a few problems! Not insurmountable problems, but an undesirable inconvenience nontheless.

The provider of my anonymous e-mail accounts closed down my (anonymous) accounts after either complaints from the legal department or an internal agent (they were located in Canada and the provider never gave me a reason). I did not directly e-mail from my systems (to preserve anonymity).

I suggest you either use a free anonymous e-mail provider and spread it over several accounts or you use a system where you are the receiver of complaints (such as if you have a paid hosting server with a respectable provider that doesn't immediately bow under legal pressure).

For best results, simply request them to go to the website and fill out the responses, don't send them a letter complaining about the GB or the WTBTS, they will more than likely simply delete it.

    Hi Anony Mous

    That's great, thanks for clarifying!

Juan Viejo2 and I are planning something, and perhaps an email campaign will play some part. If it does, the emails (as you suggest) will be inoffensive and merely asking people to give their responses.
