I'm in Colder-than-Hell, Alberta and yesterday was 0 C. When I came last year at this time it was consistantly -30 to -40 C.
Think About It
SKEETER- Been very weird in Northern California , especially in the Sierra mountains where we live. Not much rain at all, nor hardly any snow. Even at higher elevations ski resorts don't have near the snowpack we had last year. Last year was the strongest winter since 1950 / 1951 . Most snowfall. But this year, not much. Winter isn't over yet but there is talk of droughts and water cutbacks if this continues to summer . Not to mention the forest fire hazard ! Peace out, Mr. Flipper
On Monday, there was talk that it was windy in the Keys. Today, it's raining, humid, low "hurricane" looking clouds. I figured a 'cooling' front was hitting Florida from the North. Then, I overheard that there is a tropical depession in South Florida! WTF? That's supposed to be in June to October!
What do I have to complain about? It ain't 0 degrees here! Sorry to gripe, when there are many much worse off!
Flipper, those farmers in Central Caliornia are also going to have to curse God for causing water woes!
Flipper, those farmers in Central Caliornia...
I'm in Central California's San Joaquin Valley, and it's been dry and much warmer than usual. Feb and March can be wet but as Flipper and Skeeter1 said, if this keeps up there will be drought and water woes for the farmers.
There hasn't been much of the usual heavy fog either.
It was 69 degrees in downtown San Jose, CA this afternoon. Felt like late Fall. We are expecting rain tomorrow - haven't had much of that this year.

If a virtually snowless winter with temps in the 50's is weird weather for the northeast, I like it!
The weather was the news in 2011. Maybe 2012 will be more of that....
The weather is normal, man has only been recording the weather for 200 years at the most, so what is normal?
