I am so happy for you. You remind me so much of my mom. I was very, very ill and she was my caretaker. Well, I have Type 2 D. Juicing -here I come.
My D. was under control until a few months ago. A new Rx cost me more than $200/month. I developed side effects after one week.
We eat poison routinely.

She started juicing after I learned that my boy friend's brother, a type 2 diabetic, had been juicing for a few months, and lost a lot of weight and got off insulin. I told her about it, and she researched it for herself, and decided to try it. I'm going to start it as well. Bought a juicer yesterday
