They fought for religious freedom--THEIR religious freedom. However, for those who leave the cancer or wish to take time out to look elsewhere, they desire such to have zero freedom.

I'd say that the leadership are owed a firm slap upside the head for their hypocrisy, their egomania and for the sheer misery they've caused people who either stay faithful to the WTS for life or for those who walk out for deeply personal reasons!
