That changed in 1991 or 92 when the hard line shunning was reinstated..
oops meant 1981 0r 82
Used to occasionally attend week night meetings when I travelled to Vancouver for business, KHall on Westminster Hwy...(Harris Charland's old cong) or the Quelchina cong...(not sure of the spelling)...a few year ago. Surprisingly I ran into an old high school buddy there and an elder who used to be in my cong back east.
edited double post...
Do you guys remember the Hall on Westminster Hwy. that had the floor sink 6 inches because they built the concrete floor on peatmos ?
One of the main reasons I left was their wishie washie way of dealing wih DF'ed and DA'ed
For a brief period in the early 1970's you could associate with DF'ed relatives as long as you didn't discuss "truth"

Yes thats right , the WTS. has broken up and destroyed many families over the years, the do not associate with DFed family members is
a assured reason for most of this .
I wonder if they've will ever post that number on their yearly report ?
Families destroyed and decimated this year by the Watchtower Corporation ...... thousands

That was the hall I was at ...don't remember the floor problems... Minoru ? was the congregation name ?? I think there was a couple of congs at that hall. Fred Kreshman (sic) was in charge at that time COBE..lol
Yes I remember Fred, thought he was a nice guy really.
Most of my time was at the Steveston congregation with Ed Grendis, Leo Ensted and Dan Hudeama ( might have spelled that incorrectly )
I bet you don't remember the old Lansdown Hall that was on Westminster Hwy. before they moved over to the new one ?
I know you're not asking for advice, but have you planned a little get-away with her for the week after the CO visit? It's pretty common for the KH to be nearly empty the week following his "encouragement".

I was only in Richmond for 2 years and that was 35 years ago so some details are hazy..
It might have been Lansdown I was at.. I do remember Leo Enstead

I would love to do that but as we well know March is the new "you better pioneer or else God will kill you month"
She naturally signed up....
Poztate I know how you feel. My husband is a JW and he just had his co visit as well. He works so hard and is always tired add to that the cult time.
Disillusioned Lost Lamb we never got the extra night. We stuck to the program and did Family Worship and still did personal study.
