This is the link. However it may not work because I am logged in on my account. I did see an old JW song book in the hoard. It is a few minutes in to the show. The song book is seen for 3 seconds but it is clearly visible for all to see .

I knew a VERY bad hoarder who was a witness with a mental illness. She used to hoard animals and was taken to court for it. Her house was seized and she decided to go to the press to try to get everything back... Unfortunately it backfired. I was looking forward to finding out whether or not it was her, but sadly, I can't watch the video from where I'm at in the world... Sigh

In my Father's congregation, there was an older lady who was a hoarder. Her husband left her. I told my Dad this woman needed psychological help and asked him if anyone helped her get to a counsellor. The answer was No. This is typical in JW world. Don't go and get real help, just Pray More and Wait on Jehovah.

Hoarding is a form of obsessive compulsive disorder.

It is also a shunning offence according to the Jehovah's Witness faith. One can be disfellowshipped for gross uncleaness.

But why are they never kicked out for gross obesity? I sometimes watch Hoarders and remember one episode where some Watchtowers were clearly visible. Don't know if the person was a JW or just took them because they wanted more trash in the house.

Thanks God that nobody in my family was hoarder, and I do not know JWs who were except one lady who collected cats, but she was living in small cottage in the woods. Hoarding is a mental disorder, which can be also dangerous if it posses health and fire risk to the area. In my hometown there were two deadly incidents, when one woman was hoarding so much trash at her house that it caught fire and nobody could save mother with child living above her as the fire spread out very quickly. The woman was only fined and continued to collect the trash for a while until she died. Other hoarder we had in my town were elderly couple who patrolled every dump site in the city. Once they picked up container with unknown chemical, which eventually ignited in their apartment and exploded. The fire from the house was seen through entire city and the couple barricaded themselves in the place so they cannot be evacuated by the fire squad. They had to literally to handcuffed and dragged away. Any case, entire house that was from the 19th century burned down and there was empty lot for a while. I do not know what happened to them, but they were charged with public endangerment.

I didn't click on the attachment since someone above said it says "not available" but I remember about a year or so ago watching a rerun of the show about a guy in his 40's-50s and as they scanned the filth I saw a few publications in the background. He lived alone and I believe he was married at one time.
