Let them go play sport instead.
take them to the park, let them swing on the monkey bars... they'll decide for themselves when they are old enough... why would you want to predisposition them..
let them grow up first for god sakes ...
Tate
let them sleep in and play wii all day
I kinda think taking the kids to church is a worthy idea, providing it includes taking them to mosques, temples, synagogues, etc.. in equal amounts as well.
Exposing them to a diverse range of ridiculous beliefs & rituals may be a good way to show them that faith is the surest path to fallacy.
Or so I've heard. As a dad, I haven't been able to do that myself but that's in part due to the lack of diversity in our area.
Especially at this church
Let them have a life instead of learning to be afraid and pay homage to someone who doesn't exist!
A better idea: Wait until they are at least 7 years old and able to do their own thinking. Then, take them to several different churches--if possible, take them to a few mosques as well. Let them see what rubbish they are all teaching--about a good God that coerces people to obey. Once they are old enough to understand, go through the book of Jonah and see if it really is righteous to force someone to go on a mission to Nigeria Ninevah. Was that really fair to Jonah? And, when Jonah was unfulfilled by the "success" of the mission (which ultimately failed anyways), Jehovah got pxxxed off. Is this really the mark of a god that loves us? Or, perhaps he doesn't want you to get anything out of your own life.
I must add that regular church is a step up from the Kingdumb Hell.
LOL---Stop the Tears has a total of 70 comments---and has started 24 topics, and this one opens with a bumper sticker.
Just sayin'----I think someone might just be preaching.
But the color and font sizes are so compelling, NC!
