Thanks for yet another insightful and thought-provoking post.

It is interesting that you characterize him as being "troubled."

The comments reminded me of a book I took in a Psych 101-type class in college in the late 70's entitled "The Adjusted American - Normal Neuroses in the Individual and Society" (Snell Putney, Gail J. Putney.)

The most salient point I remember from this book was its focus on "projection": it's easy to see and hate in other people the things you really hate about yourself. Attack them and their loathsome qualities!! One payoff is achieving mastery in self and mass-deception.

That hatred springs more from self-contempt than from a legitimate grievance is seen in the intimate connection between hatred and a guilty conscience".... Eric Hoffer

Hi HS,

As you no doubt know, JFR is one of my favorite people to research and write about.

Jan Haugland devoted an entire thesis for his master's degree on the man. (A great waste of paper, research and a waste of Jan's very good mind, if you ask me. I mean, Rutherford is a very simple person to understand.)

If I may take a little liberty with a popular phrase, then I will. If I can't, I will anyway: "Power corupts. Absolutely power lets assholes like JFR bring corruption to new and higher levels. Absolutely."

His whole life bears testimony to the above.

He created his own pet religion with himself as puppeteer and sole beneficiary of the fruits of that religion. He sold "hope" for the future and nothing more. For that he reaped $$$$$$$$$$$$$$ and creature worship and much more. Not a bad deal for idiots who bought into it. Of course they are all dead now, and so is he. The only difference is that his dupes slaved in trailers selling his books and sending all the money to him and died. He lived like a King and died.

YouKnow could have cleared up Joe Rutherford's confusion. Satan may be the "original liar and author of fraud and deception," but Jehovah is the true Master of Deception, you see . . .

The uninitiated reader of course naturally assumes that Satan would be the Master of deception, but in actuality, while he is the malevolent Arch-deceiver, Jehovah is actually the Master. Let’s see how that could be so.

Yes, he certainly was a product of the now embarrasing psuedo-science of the day.

Unfortunately, his ghost is alive and well and still kicking the tar out of the innocents.

Hey hillary_step,thats actually a funny post.Who would have thought Rutherfords words would come back to haunt WBTS 65 years later.Farkel showed me his post on Rutherfords asshole cancer sometime back.I couldn`t believe my eyes,it was just too dam funny.The things you learn on this board..LOL...OUTLAW
