I've been putting together what the bible 'really' teaches and not trying to put together what I want it to teach.
Just a few interesting things which seem to flow through all of the prophet books...........
First for Israel had a curse if they didn't follow Yahweh, Deut 28:15-68 fortells what will happen. It culminated with them being surrounded by their enemies and cut off and such ferocity that they would do cannibalism, mothers eating children and such. This HAPPENED at it's destruction around 70AD. It happened just like it said.
THEN the prophet books say how they will be scattered throughout the Earth. After so much time they would be gathered back. The gathering back started in 1948.
In the new testament, Jesus left on Mt of Olives and said he would return the same way. Also the NT in Revelation, etc, speaks of great earthquake etc.
In the Old Testament prophets, it says how on the return, one foot put on both sides of the Mt of Olives and it splits in 2. Also how a spring or river comes underneath the Temple, flowing to East and West. The Eastern flow goes to the Dead Sea and brings life to it. Also trees will be alongside it and it's fruit and leafage give healing.
Battlewise, it speaks of nations surrounding Jerusalem, and they still aren't following Yahweh, but then fire comes down and destroys those armies, so that the entire world is witness to this event and he makes himself known. At that point Israel serves him again.
What's interesting, is supposedly a fault line goes right through the Mount of Olives, which means a great Earthquake would split it in 2. Jerusalem elevation is about 2500feet above sea level, and the dead sea is the lowest point in the earth, 1400 feet below. So a river underneath it coming out would flow to the Dead Sea. It's also amazing that from 70AD to 1948AD the Jews had no country, were wandering and refugees for almost 2,000 years, then suddenly are back to Israel.
This stuff is nothing I've seen that any religions teach or even make mention of, yet it's in the bible. All coincidence or perhaps there is some truth to it?
