Even reading the first section feels a bit like having an in-depth psycho-analysis session but actually it struck some chords with me.

I would if I knew how. I found this section while doing a google search on "wounding of the personality" and posted it because many might find it helpful I've only read a small portion so far.
ps: I tried going down a few pages and put this quote from the book "healing my relationship with the inner child" in the search engine and this came up about half way down the result page:
I am very conscious of this in my own life. Very wounded. Determine to function and have a decent life despite the wounding. Not easy.

My question is, how do we heal the wounds? How can we be reborn after what we have suffered?

Perhaps a good Analysis could help. I'm trying it on my own with more research as these things seem to be naturally occuring for me. I would have a hard time spilling my guts to a shrink.
