Is Israel prepared for the counterattack.
There possibly may not be much of a counterattack against Israel. I don't think any attack will come out of Egypt or Lybia, because they are disorganized at this point with the change in governments. Iran would have to move ground forces through Iraq or Turkey to get to Israel, and that ain't going to happen. Some missles will be fired from Iran, and there would be some air combat. Syria, Jordan & Lebanon may attack, but I don't think they are much of a threat to Israel in a conventional war. Turkey usually doesn't get drawn in, and Iraq has been neutralized. The biggest threats due to a first strike by Israel, seems to be a SofH oil spike event, increase in global terrorist strikes, with the wild card being what will China & Russia do? I really don't see China & Russia giving a rat's ass about Iran at the risk of destroying the global economy. Interesting developments coming.

Hezbollah is an Iranian proxy, and they have thousands of rockets. Iran also has missiles that can hit Israel.

McCain to call for airstrikes on Libya. Maybe he can suit up and hop into an A4.

That Syrian airspace would come in handy, wouldn't it?

These scenarios assume the use of bunker buster bombs carried by jets (and the fuel range problems that come with that)....
....but what if IMI has developed bunker busting ballistic missiles?
Asked if Jerichos would have the accuracy and the explosive power to take out hardened bunkers or fortifications believed to be protecting Iran's most-sensitive underground nuclear facilities, a current U.S. official replied, "You would be surprised at their accuracy." The official added that the missiles' warheads would contain a special mix of explosives that could penetrate the Iranian defenses.
U.S. officials also say Israel may have learned the location of facilities that fabricate centrifuge components. These, too, could be targeted.
A 2010 book on the possibility of an Israeli attack laid out the difficulties Israel would face if it attempted to use only its strike fighters on those targets.
