Quote from: WT 09/15/41 p. 287
In the Kingdom the 'great multitude' will look to the Lord to guide as to selecting each a mate for himself. Why, then, should a man who has the prospect before him of being of the great multitude now tie himself up to a stack of bones and a hank of hair?

The quote is from 1941. This is a year before Rutherford died. Rutherford's wife was, I believe, very ill and paralyzed.
Hayden Covington acknowledged that Rutherford was bitter about that and had possibly relieved his own urges elsewhere.
I believe this quote reflects an end-of-life despair with women.

Wow, that made me look it up. I knew he'd used the 'stack of bones and hank of hair' expression to describe women, but never seen it in context. It was his convention talk releasing the Children book.
The whole talk is very entertaining.
from p. 286, 'Children's Day' onwards.
Apparently, the reception was rapturous. Practically every sentence was greeted with ...

P. 288 - "' ... It is your privilege between now and before the day school opens to spend six hours a day in taking the book Children to others.' The parents should encourage their children to do this very thing, if they would have them live."
(No applause attached to that one LOL.)

I would enjoy spending the reduced time that is left with stacks of bones like Nicole Kidman's. Or bones and flesh like SofĂa Vergara's.

wha happened?
6 hours a day? Really? Try that now and see if the parents don't get their kid taken away from them
