    From - The Watchtower (simplified) June 15, 2012 pg. 25 par. 15

What goal should a young Christian have while he is in school?

If you are a young Christian who
is close to finishing your schooling,
you probably have good health and
    few responsibilities. Have you
    thought seriously about regular pioneering?
    Your teachers probably believe
that going to college or university
is the best way that you can plan
your future. Their trust is in human
organizations and in money. But these
have no future. If you make Jehovah's
service your career, you will be using
your timewell and will be doing something
that will give you a lasting future.
You will be imitating the perfect
example of Jesus. This is a wise decision
that will make you happy. It will
protect you. It will show that you will
not let anything stop you from keeping
    your promise to serve Jehovah.
    -Matthew 6:19-21; 1 Timothy 6:9-12.

You will be imitating the perfect example of Jesus.

Yes, because Jesus had all kinds of scholarship offers. Bethlehem State was going to give him a full ride on a basketball scholarship, but he turned them down to pioneer.

    Idiots.

JW student, do you think you should trust your teachers?

Teachers trust human organizations and money, these have no future, if you trust them you will have no future.

Jehovah wants you to pioneer. If you don't, you are showing that your promise to serve Jehovah is not important.

    ...........................

I had some pretty good teachers in school, many I am sure who thought they were Christians (even my Biology teacher) ... I think they might take offense to this accusation.

Well if you imitate Jesus you will only spend three years preaching and it will not start till you are 30. That gives you time to learn a trade and go to college

Jesus WAS a carpenter after all wasn't he. He had a trade and skill first.

    Stupid cult.

I was just thinking while reading that "Jesus would have had to learned and studied carpentry wouldn't he?"

Glad to see I am not the only one thinking those thoughts.

To be honest, Jesus started his ministry fairly late in life. With life expectancy before the 20th century being just over 30 years of age, and in Classical Rome if a man hit his 15th birthday he was likely to live until his early 50s.

Following that example, and that life expectance is now in the 70s for much of the western world, young people should be good to wait until their 50s right?

Same paragraph from magazine for ejicated dubs who can read gooder ...

If you are approaching the end of
    the schooling required of you,
    you may
find yourself in good health and with
    few responsibilities. Have you seriously
    considered entering the regular pioneer
ranks? No doubt, school counselors sincerely
believe that it is in your best interests
    to pursue higher education and
to plan for a secular career. Yet, their
confidence lies in a social and financial
system that has no lasting future.
On the other hand, by pursuing a theocratic
career, you will be pursuing truly
worthwhile and lasting goals. And you
will be following Jesus' perfect example.
Such a wise decision will make you happy.
It will protect you. And it will show
that you are determined to live up to
    your dedication to Jehovah.-Matt. 6:19-
    21; 1 Tim. 6:9-12.

your schooling = schooling required of you

    teachers = counselors

college or university = higher education

human organizations and money = social and financial system

no future = no lasting future

    Jehovah's service = theocratic career
