I find some interest in the intellectual challenges of viewpoints contrary to my own.

What exactly do you find interesting regarding different viewpoint at a door when you're standing there with another JW and can't accept anything the householder is saying but you have to refute everything others say and stick with the party line? Are you saying that if a householder pointed out misquotes from wts publications or showed you 607 is wrong you would gladly discuss it as to maybe accept it or would you more likely deny the reality and tell the householder the wts BS view is the correct one?

You likely don't recollect anything desirable as a foot-soldier for Jehovah.

What exactly are those desirables? While I was inactive for most of my dub life, lucky me, but honestly the few years I wasted on knocking on doors were not desirable at all. Sure you go on chatting with you're wts partner about total BS for most part, wasting time thinking you're doing the right thing when in fact you are spreading deception where ever you go. Majority of active witnesses don't even comprehend the level of deception used by watchtower and it's this deception and lie they bring to unsuspecting people who may even accept the material to read. It's like offering the public a piece of cancer. While under the wts spell, you may find it interesting but once you learn the truth about the wts deception it should make you feel sick to your stomach that you had any part of spreading the lie and encouraging people to read the wts trash.

majority of voices online pertaining to Jehovah's Witnesses are anti-JW

Majority of voices online are anti-wts and not JWs. JWs like many other cult followers are victims of the cult they're stuck in and don't know any better. Then there are those who have all the facts at their fingertips but deny the reality and continue living a delusion creating twisted reality in their own minds to satisfy their need to imagine that they've not been deceived.
