my mother is also the queen of guilt trip land!
One of her best one she likes to say to me is, how she's grieving for me like I've died!
Cos it's like a death she has to come to terms with and I will die at Armageddon next Friday probably!
She says all this while looking at me with a look like I've ruined her life and everything is now completely pointless!

Ask her your own question, in your own words, and guilt her if she doesn't answer it in her own words.
Make it a good one. It must undermine the WT's claim of selection as God's channel.

Please read the articles carefully and make sure look up the cited scriptures along with their context. It takes time but it will be the best time you will investigate in searching for the truth. The WT altere, misinterpret, manuplate, take out of the context the scriptures in order to fit into their (curredt) claims or their agenda. You will be suprised in learning the true applications those scriptures imply to. Who trully act like the one condemmed in the scriptures?
Ask your folks, for example, what particular sayings of the apostates the WT accusing of? The WT in general condemming the ones who don't go along with them and yet it avoid mentioning the any detail informations of the others' arguements and the points, and then out of nowhere start attacking the others with all sorts of name calling. There's no logic, no sound of reasoning, no explanation whatsoever. What does that sounds like? Mature, loving, merciful, long-suffering, kind like Christ or rigid, self righteous, judgemental, hateful, condeming Pharasses?
In fact, you don't even have to go any other sources to find the truth about the truth. It's all in their very own hypocritical publications and its wayward shepherds' conducts speaks louder than anything else. I come to that conclusion without ever reading or listening a single word of apostates but from deligently attending their meetings and heartfelt, open minded bible studies. ( I probably missed about only handful ot meetings in 25 years)
Check out song #63 in the new song book. The WTS is guilty of blasphemy by prasing the men and demending loyalty to the men-the Governing Body and their appointed elders-which belong to God and Christ. The WTS replaced Christ with their leaders. They are openly became menworshipers(=idolaters)
And yet, this is only one of countless examples of their apotasy against Christ and his Hevenly Father.
Knowledge is Power. It will strenghten you from being feared, bullied, blinded etc. It will also free you from spiritual bondage but will lead you to the true christianity, the law of love. Or at least it will free you from captivity of illusion. And start smelling the roses.

I gather you are an adult and mother is therefore in her 50's? classic gult trip manipulation. My mother was the same in alll aspects of life. Manipulated by a dozen ever variing ways to get her own way. "Just this once" bulshit! Translates to once you have done it you are obliged to do it agin and again whatever 'it' is. Is your dad still around? if he is its a very good bet he sits in the background and says squat as (1) everything will get a WT answer (2) she will patronise him by agreeing when she hasnt even heard what he said.
As for your brother.duh! he took you to a convention or meeting whatver to appease someone else as a feel good trip for himself. i have family in/out the truth who never bother to call me and worse people who knew us well before we moved across the state have phoned twice. The rest of the cong...never. Its their loss. The twice callers wanted my brothers phone number both times.
All such people have the spiritual strength of kleenex. If a situation or person is not in front of them under lights they dont see.
Dont be empty fill your life with good things creative hobbies and positive people but dont rely on any of them totally.
