Also the name of a famous bard in ancient Welsh legend. I always thought that's who you were referencing. I forgot about the Mists of Avalon thing. Equally cool, in either case.

@Wiz -- She is one of my favorite authors. :D I had most of the Darkover books, till my book collection got destroyed. I have had a v. close friend in Melbourne for almost 20 years,,, love my Aussies, and a couple that I met here and made friends with, who have become very dear to me. :))
