Thank you all for your supportive comments.

Obviously I am certain that things will proceed as usual. The letter aimed to try and appeal to the hearts and sensibilities of the elders in the local congregation here - but, as was pointed out, they will probably not even want to read the words.

Primarily I sent the letter, and posted it here, to offer some comfort and encouragement to any who are lost, alone, and afraid - fearful of this authoritarian organisation. I am completely settled in the outcome, and I am happy. It is a sad situation, but I know I am right.

    Thanks, again.

Thank you for posting this. "If you really want to piss them off tell one of your friends to attend that meeting and clap his hands when they make the announcement.

    NOLAW"

Great idea Nolaw, I would invite every person I know who respects an individual's right to freedom of thought and freedom of (and from) worship to come and applaud the announcement of my disfellowshipping if it ever came to that. F@L

What a notion- to applaud their release from the bondage and slavery to the WT!

Interesting letter. You're obviously too smart for their good.

Hi Rory, thanks for posting this letter, I hope things have worked out well for you.

Regarding them, it is like talking to a wall, no amount of reasoning will change them, they are moved by other interests, also they are not free themselves. But while the majority of the r&f doesn’t have access to this type of injustices that go on behind the scenes, the elders know better, and either they have no respect for God and are just hypocrites, or this is just another proof of the damage this organization does to otherwise good people.

Your mistake, apostatethunder, is supposing that this is the effect of a bad organization on good people. It's a bad organization filled with bad people. Your view is the central, mistaken conceit of most on this site, unfortunately.
