Why the Governing Body is not Evil

I know that some of you don't personally think that the GB wants to cause harm or is only after the money, but after reading some posts on here, it seems like some of you do think that the GB is evil.

If you think about it, that doesn't make sense, but here is just one question. Why would the GB create a time limit on their organization if they believed it to be false? All through the organization's history they have been saying the end is near and have set a time frame for this. Even today they say that the generation overlapping the 1914 generation is the real generation the end will come. This is a time limit.

If they believed it's false then they would know they would lose members when that time limit comes and goes. It doesn't make sense. A money hungry org would not set a time limit, but may just say the end is near and coming soon.

    There it is.

You can stretch the time limit like they've done for almost 100 years. End was supposed to come in 1914, then Russell said maybe 1915, 1918, 1925..... Generation means this...no no no, it means this, now generation is overlapping - overlapping generation doesn't even make sense and yet dubs don't blink. What they're doing makes perfect sense even if it's total lunacy.

Time limit was part of the organization from the beginning so there is no point of getting rid of it now, so best thing to do is continue pushing it as far as they can.

It doesn't matter what GB believe, as long as the followers believe and continue wasting time and money. WTS has enough assets to sustain itself for next hundred years, even if they end up selling off assets. Dates is what made the borg and is probably what will break it because their time is running out in a world where theories and teachings can be put to a test and their true history can easily be revealed. If 50% of witnesses leave that only means that 50% of building will have to be sold off and wts will re-invest the profits in something else - gold, stocks, bonds, land... The other 50% will continue to follow the ever nearing end.

They have to have a time limit to keep those interested in staying loyal to the GB.

Imagine yourself in the late 1800s and being told that the Big A would be coming in the year 2016!! Would you be intersted in continuing

your life with the WTBTS ( or whatever they were called back then)

I don't think the Bible Students had nefarious intent; on the contrary, I think they really believed the stuff. Unfortunately, the end didn't come, and Rutherford, et. al. wanted to keep the "business" going. Now you have generations of men who have never really worked, and who have a vested interest in the org. What would the FDS do to live the the organization collapsed? How would they eat? What economically transferable skills do they have?

    Hence...overlapping generations...

It's not a real time limit. New Light can flash up anytime and bam! they have another 100 years tacked on their 'time limit.' This way, all Jehovah's Witnesses no matter when they live, are 'living in the last days!'

Have you read "Crisis of Conscience"? Once I read that, I realized those guys at the top KNOW THEY ARE WRONG. And that is when I realized they actually are evil for what they are doing.

Here's what I believe, from the research that I've done. Take it for what it may or may not be worth....

The truth is that the human race is evolving just as "God" is. There is no perfect God up in the sky looking down at us lowly, undeserving humans. The Creator put a process in place where the human race will evolve into Gods through trial and error, to work out the processes of good and evil through free will. The Watchtower teaches that God is in control of all this, which he is in a way, but humanity is plotting its own path back to the Creator. Our future is determined by our own consciousness and the decisions we make, not by some predestined plot that God has laid out. So, Armageddon may very well have come right on schedule if we had chosen that path, but thankfully we did not, and now Armageddon has been cancelled. It's too late. We have already made the decision to make the long-awaited quantum leap which is the next big step in the evolution process. The last time we made such a leap we went from Neanderthals to Homo Sapiens. The next one will give all of us 12-strand DNA and a fully awakened consciousness. There will be no limit to what we can achieve, and the Dark Cabal will be destroyed, ironically, just as the Watchtower predicts, and even more ironically, that they are very much a part of it.

So, That's the big difference. While the Watchtower has everyone waiting for Jehovah to fix everything, they will not lift a finger to change anything by their own power. This is how the ruling elite runs the planet while the masses remain impotent, and this is why they invented religion.

Does the Governing Body know the truth? I would say yes, but in the meantime, they can live a life of luxury in a position of great power over a few million mindless zombies. They are mere puppets of the real owners of The Cult, who are part of the Power Elite that dominate the planet. The Watchtower was funded by Zionists. The Rothschilds and Bnai Brith. That's a fact. They will fund anything that takes power from the people and makes them impotent while they believe in a false god/golden calf that doesn't even exist. All of this keeps them from ever finding the True God within themselves.

They know it is wrong sure enough, and they don't care that the present generation doctrine has a time limit, the youngest member of the present GB will be past retiring age once that is past its sell by date.

They are as bad as politicians who have a set term of office, what happens after that is not their problem.

They are evil in my opinion, it doesn't make sense when I look at them thru my "born in" eyes, but when I look at the facts, the history, etc. they are evil. I too struggled with...it just doesn't make sense.

But they go beyond what is written to the detriment of the followers, they either (a) don't care, (b) cared before they got to GB and found it's a sham and just now go with the flow, or they (c) truly belived they are God's gift (which is scary to think about)

What happened when one GB member did try to the right thing, did try to stick to scripture, did try?.....They crucified him, and anyone who dared defend him. People who have lived at bethel can also confirm how heartless, cruel, sexist, awful the GB members are. Randy Watters described something said by one, I don't remember what was as said as much as Randy's expression of his feelings. He said it was heartbreaking, that cold unfeeling comment coming from our future heavenly leaders (totally paraphrasing).

I hear either stories of the GB being slime....mean...or just disconnected, neither mean or slimball, just seem to have given up. Granted this is heresay, but when you (hear with your own ears) elders say, when confronted with changing doctrine that led to death...and they reply "so what, they will be ressurected" it is much easier to believe the person stories of bethellites, and such.

I personally find them evil. I don't think they are even really in control, I think they are being controlled. I think they only have the illusion of being in control. However, they stay in the position, they continue to do harm, they continue to destroy lives, families, etc. Yeah they are evil in my book.

They are Captives of a Concept (good book) to a degree, but once in place on the GB they have no power to change anything, and nowhere to go, literally.

They are evil to the same extent as anybody in that kind of position, a top Nazi close to Hitler say, in that they cannot do anything without losing their own life.

A GB member who left at least would have their literal life still, but none of them are men of honour or conscience, or they would have left by now.

No conscience= no morals = evil to me.

Yes, they have to keep the carrot close to the donkey, but that is why you say the end is NEAR, don't put a time limit on it. Keep talking about the end is near, it's close, etc.

Look at 1975 and how many members LEFT because of that. Every time limit that passes, they lose members. Any organization that is after the cash will not set a time limit. They will say it is near, and keep saying it is near. They were doing fine BEFORE the new overlapping generations teaching. Why bring it up again when it will just fail again in what, 30 years or sooner??
