All I can say is "we're mad and we're not going to take it anymore." The wbts has taken our youth and, if you dare leave, they take all of your family and friends away from you. I gotta say, it takes guts and unbelievable strength to survive without any support, but you know what? it's possible to reinvent yourself and live a fullfilled life. The wtbts did not break me, when I left, it gave me a chance to live my life under my rules. I'm thankful that I had enough brains to leave. My older brother left long before I did but I always thought he was crazy because he lived in Dallas, you know how crazy those city folks are, now I think just like him. I also live in a very small town. We have brains too!

    One person commented:

It is a reality that if we are going to be on the internet we deal with Apostasy. Not always by choice, the ideas get shoved in our faces.

About 5 years ago I was bitten with apostate poison, it was tough for a while, but now I am stronger and I will no longer let it affect me.

    Ouch! That sounds painful!

I wonder if the antivenom was made from blood fractions. . . .

The questions under the heading "ARE YOU OBSESSED?" are pretty terrific, and so well-written.

Do you spend time combing through the organization's literature just to see if what is written by one of its members apart from the organization is accurate just so you can use the occasional thing that is not perfectly correct against that person?

Help, I've been blinded by crystal clear logic!

wow, this guy is a delusional liar, check out this quote: "Many articles appearing in the Watchtower and Awake! magazines before 1994 were not all discussed by the governing body before publication, so questionable things and prophetic dates were forced that the organization later learned to weed out."

    LOL!!!

I started reading that blog but it sounded just like a Watchtower article. Gag.

    In the opening paragraph:

Apostates, on the other hand, are an obsessed lot. They are not satisfied with turning people away at every mention of Jehovah's Witnesses, but they spend every moment of their free time obsessing over turning people, particularly individual Witnesses themselves, away from the organization. The time they should be spending on preaching the word of God, they instead spend it turning people away from the only true God. Why the obsession? Are they concerned with the welfare of others? Are they demonstrating a humanitarian outreach? Are they trying to prevent some major catastrophe? Are they trying to be helpful with the religious choices of others? Or is it simply malicious intent? The answer may surprise you.

Personally, I don't spend every moment of my free time obsessing over turning people away from the organization. I have too many other darn things to do-like having a life now that I don't have to go out in FS or to meetins 4 times a week. Yeah for free time. Oh, and wearing pants everywhere. (giggle)

As for preaching the word of God, I've come to realize, not too many people want to hear about it. In fact, none do. Which is why door-to-door work is so unproductive.

How would I prevent a major catastrophe? Me? Seriously? The Federal Government can't stop a Hurrican, how can I? Tornado? Nah, my G-force isn't up there either.

I'm thinking this guy is a writer at Headquarters.

I commented that he could take the quote below and replace government with religion if he wanted to understand the obsession better...

The most dangerous man to any government is the man who is able to think things out for himself, without regard to the prevailing superstitions and taboos. Almost inevitably he comes to the conclusion that the government he lives under is dishonest, insane and intolerable, and so, if he is romantic, he tries to change it. And even if he is not romantic personally he is very apt to spread discontent among those who are. -Mencken

This dingus has to "approve" of any responses that get posted, so I highly doubt any dissenting opinions will be shown...only "Good job brother!! *virtual handshake*" and the like will be approved... I sent him a link to my own blog post about apostates (http://lilstitchexjw.tumblr.com/post/15046562388/the-bitter-angry-unhappy-apostate) . I doubt he'll post it (because it's clearly an exJW blog), but maybe he'll read it. Meh. Either way, his logic is heavily influenced by the Watchtower's teaching of what an apostate is, so his writing will be as well. Just more misinformation being spewed on behalf of the org.

    This will backfire on him.

First off, of course he is wrong. All he is doing is parroting what he has been taught from the Watchtower. Whatever.....

The bad news for him is, someone will read that, and then read something a former JW wil write. That seed will be planted, and if it is in the soil of an honest, open mind, the truth about da troof will be plain to this person. Then he will have a decision to make.

It should be noted too, people like this yahoo have been withJWs for over 100 years. I don't care to prove him wrong. To most reasonable people, he is a blabbering idiot with way too much time on his hands. I will stand with the majority of people who will read this and shrug. Like JWs, this guy will persuade a few gullible people not in possession of themselves, but that's about it. After all, jWs can really only target the gullible and ignorant these days, right? Like JWs, I can't help them, and dont have the time for them.
