First, what would Satan and his demons gain from causing us suffering? Nothing. Satan wanted to PREVENT the suffering Jehovah's tyranny was going to cause us, as he was appointed to guard humankind (that is right in their own Bible). Satan knew Jehovah was holding back wisdom and spiritual progress from mankind, and he did something about it. Jehovah couldn't handle that, so he caused the suffering he blamed Satan for.
The demons are no more villainous. What did they want? Nothing more than the right to do something other than be puppets of Jehovah. They wanted nothing more than to help humans, on their terms (which were obviously different from Jehovah Baghead's terms of enslavement). Demons mated with humans, and taught the Nephilim to not uphold Jehovah's tyranny. Again, right in their own Bible, Jehovah couldn't handle it--so he had the Nephilim destroyed. Again, that even generously assumes that the whole account wasn't ripped off from some much older legend.
