I've heard horror stories about the questions that get asked... I've only really had one JC where I felt it went too far. That was when my ex husband decided we weren't being "blessed" because we messed around before we got married (oh, gee, we touched each other's pee-pees and he somehow managed to put his mouth on my boobs...tsk tsk). So he forced me to join him in confessing to the elders over 2 years after the fact. They asked how far we went, if we were sure we didn't have sex (um, wouldn't we KNOW if we did?), read us some article about porneia, and asked what we would tell other couples who are "courting". Dumb.
My last JC, I was asked what I did... I mean, I volunteered to go and confess, told them I committed fornication, and figured that was the end of it. They asked how far I went. Um...there's a difference? One elder asked if we had oral sex. Yup. Then asked if we had anal. Um no. Intercourse? Nope. That one kind of blew their minds lol. I was with my BF at the time for over a week day and night, sleeping in the same bed...and we didn't have sex. It was the truth, and they pretty much had to accept it... I mean, I was already on the chopping block not only for premarital sex, but for adultery, so having sex wouldn't really have added or taken anything away from it...and I willingly went to them and confessed. My ex also alerted them using the words "pornography" and "apostasy"...which, interestingly, are two things he's done himself lol. They basically asked about the apostate stuff, and asked what kind of porn I had watched...whether it was "normal" or "unclean". Amazingly, I wasn't DF'ed.
