Judicial Committees prove that God is not backing the WTBTS!!!

On another thread, one poster shared a humiliating experience they had in a Judicial Committee hearing. The poster was asked, as it typical of such hearings, a series of highly personal and extremely intrusive questions regarding their sexual activities. For anyone fortunate enough to have never been involved in this particularly demeaning form of control, psychic manipulation and domination used by the WTBTS, you should know that it is common, very common. It is the Gold Standard Method of keeping the R&F in line. Elders use this every opportunity they can. Often elders will actively seek out opportunities to get R&F JWs in the "little room" to have such an interrogation meeting.

Back to my original point, although not following "Theocratic Direction", this individual did what most people would do, they lied. (When I say "most people" I mean current JWs that have even a shred of dignity and respect for their own personal boundaries. Any non-Dub would respond to such questions with, "That's none of your fucking business you pervert!").

Now this brings up a very interesting point with significant, albeit unintended, consequences for a person's faith in the organization!

I think many of us, maybe even most, have had a similar experience like this where, under extreme pressure, we lied or were at least evasive when confronted with a situation. We weren't struck dead by an angel and then after getting over the initial fear and shock of that, we realized something very important: This is NOT God's Arrangement.

The implications of this are momentous. The situation that ignites the spark of light that becomes the dawning realization that this may not be, in fact it absolutely IS NOT, God's organization is often created by the elders following the society's own byzantine judicial procedures.

Soon afterwards a series of profound, life-changing realizations begin flooding into your mind and consciousness!

This was certainly how it happened for me.

    Please share your experiences!

the seed of doubt was planted early for me. I just didn't know it. I was in a meeting shortly after I was baptized. I was talking to one elder that I used to get hit on often at work. It's a big company and the majority of employees are in their early 20's and 30's. One elder looked at me and asked if I work at the Braille institute. I walked out. The other two brothers apologized, he did not. The meeting was over. 00DAD, u know the elder, his name was Bob Mollicone. a real winner.

So at that moment, I realized that my best interests are apparently not theirs. It took many more instances such as this for me to finally get a clue

WH, Yeah, Mollicone was a tool. Probably still is.

Maybe I'm just dense this morning. I don't get the point of the "Braille Institute" comment. Didn't you work for JB/SB at the time?

this was previous to the maniacly stupid decision to work for the Brook's. This was a major cell phone retailer on the westside. Big company, located in west hollywood. that location had 100 employees +. Bob was trying to knock me down a few levels by insinuiating that the only person interested enough to hit on me must be blind. I think the spirit led him to make that comment

I remember Bob's wife. She was scary.

Absolutely - I confess to this - once or twice while I was an elder too!!!

The only time I've ever been pulled in the "pink room" was when someone else spilled the beans on something WE did. I knew I had to admit it, but I lied through my teeth about how sorry I was and how bad it made me feel. (The truth is I had a blast and don't regret it one bit.) I always knew it wasn't "the truth" but this just cemented that belief because I only had to give them what they wanted and case closed, I thought if this were God's arrangement and they are guided by holy spirit I couldn't have gotten away with it; but I did.

@00DAD: Witlesses are god's tools, so they're all TOOLS.

Simply stating that "they are not entitled to the information" irks them.

Follow it up by asking them if they believe they control your relationship with Jehovah and they hate it even more. Asking them this makes them see that they are powerless when it comes to your personal relationship with God.

Back it further up by telling them that you do not want to hear anything said to you that does not have scriptural backing and they are left floundering.

There is NO spirit in the JC arrangement! It is plain and simple ABUSE of the freedoms they are given.

When I was in my late teens I got pulled in the back room after two jdubs who smoked with me ratted me out for smoking pot. I admitted it because I didn't care.

Two of the elders were giving me the third degree about how awful it would be if an interested person saw me and it stumbled them. The third elder looked at me and asked me, I kid you not "WHAT DOES IT FEEL LIKE TO SMOKE POT?". I said talk to me after this meeting and I'll show you.

The other two said HEY,HEY,HEY,HEY ( GOOD OL PUBLIC REPROOF)
