I know this has been said a thousand times already but Oodads posting reminded me of when I got to thinking about the generation teaching at a family get together we had a couple of months ago with some Witness relatives and so much wanted to ask this question at the table. But didn't.
Imagine it is the year 1914, and Jesus walks into the room and sees these four generations of males. He says ''this generation will by no means pass away until all these things occur''.
Which of the four generations is he talking about?
None of the four in the picture. It is the generation that is going to come along in about 90 years time when the oldest three generations are dead and the baby in the picture is at death's door. That is the generation Jesus was addressing when he walked in to the room and saw the men in the picture.
We had four generations of the same family around the table and one of the Witnesses did comment on it. Not wanting to start an arguement I refrained from pointing out my take on the generation teaching.
