Well you can test it... Go to a KH and tell them you used to be one of them but got kicked out... and see the reaction....... Then go to a catholic church and do the same.... and see it for yourself.

I was an athiest before converted to JW. I was in for 25 years. I would have been better off as an athiest or anything else but JW in Nigeria, in
Darfur, in Malawi, in Eastern Europe, in Asia, in any Continent.

There are both good and bad people in all orgranizations. But no one would hurt and persecute another human being like JWs would. Yes, I said JWs as whole and as an indivisual not only the GB and the elders. The GB and the elders could not have accomplished any of their inhuman abusiveness without their foot solders' tireless support and ever loyaly carrying out the commentments. They are engaging in two hunting activities for their leaders: the recruiting of outsiders in digusing their true colors and the witch hunting of insiders in the name of ORGARNIZATION.

I would rather being killed in the hands of the above you mentioned than being eaten alive slowly by the most vicious methods of JWs. They are working against HUMANITY.

I am not a hater. I am simply but sadly sharing the FACT from my very own experinces. I do NOT hate them(ok most of them) though but I feel very sorry for them for not knowing what they are doing (I want to believe that. John 16:2). I pray for them(Not always easy). I can't express enough how grateful I am that I am out of that darkness and not being part of their inhuman persecution toward their very own, including their own blood and flesh. Besides, no longer campaigning Global Genocides. Hitler and his foot soldiers' campaign resulted in at least 12 million lives in gas chamber. It's horrifying me that that's what in essence I had been doing in exaltation.

Are JWs any better/nicer/kinder/more loving.......? I think the most of them started out with such qualities but their doctrins turn them into unloving, judemental, self-righteous, arrogant, merciless, no natural affection, paranoid....... longer you are in worse you will beome.

Even the "nice ones" are under the WT rule. They cannot follow their own good conscience, they must follow the WT conscience. The WT conscience is cruel, teaches members to lie (theocratic warfare), to shun their own parents children, be judgmental, to hate, etc.

Knowing what I know now, not only from research but my own personal experience of how I would lie to myself and other to protect this org. I can't trust a JW today. Do I hate them? NO I don't, I feel sorry for them, but I no longer trust them.

There may be some good or kind one's in the bunch, but collectively as a group they are worse than most.

They only serve themselves, and the last time I checked that wasn't better/nicer/kinder/more loving or positive.

Here is the problem with JWs. Its not the people themselves, its the nonstop propoganda intake that comes from the WTBTS.

Some JWs are very kind, loving, gentle, nice etc. But those qualities aren't valued in the KH. What matters is HOURS, ATTENDANCE, and BLIND OBEDIENCE to each and every Watchtower magazine and the directives from the assemblies. All you get there is years and years of this:

"You worthless piece of crap sinner. You are LUCKY that God lets you breath oxygen today. IF you go out in serve-US, maybe he will continue to let you breath oxygen until the end next month. The end is SO CLOSE, and SATAN is attacking YOU! Do what we say or JEHOVAH will wipe your sorry ASS off of the FACE OF THE EARTH along with the 7 billion other sinners. Oh, and TURN IN YOUR TIME so we can once again assess your spirituality. AND QUIT WATCHING PORN!"

No wonder they are so messed up, (as are many of us once removed from the cult)

I wouldn't say better no.

There are some jw's that are lovely genuine people with a heart of gold, but then there are some who are arrogant ass holes and everything in between, much like every group of people.

For the most part I'd say say they are basically good, but I think those ones would be good people with or without a religion. Same with the assholes.

But since leaving the jw's it's been a true eye opener to see some truly lovely people. Some friends I now have are the most nice kind loving honest sincere people I have ever had the pleasure to meet, more so so than any jw i knew.

I also think that jw's put far too much stock in not swearing, or smoking or gambling or tattoos and they think because they don't do that, that somehow means they are oh so jesusy. But my BIL is covered in tattoos, smokes, and swears like a marine and is a great father and husband and a good person.

So no, they aren't any better than the general population, they might swear less, but that don't make you bad!

No, JWs are not better than any of these others. I have found, much to my surprise, that some people who do not follow any religion are more kind than any of the others. I wonder if it is because they are less judgmental?

I know some that are really very nice people... However, most have a limited ability to show it unless you are a JW too. Their teachings and beliefs tend to have a gravitational effect on their decision making process...

I guess like with any cultic group that has succumbed to destructive and mindless "group think" one's perspective and experience will depend on whether one is "in" or "out".

Having to deny the realities and facts that led to "Silent Lambs" surely gives the lie to the party line though.

Preventing crimes such as fraud, incest, rape and theft from being reported to maintain the group's "good name"???!!!

I have to say that religious belief has not improved the world.

Some individuals in a religious environment may have been able to separate the bad from the good and yield more to the latter, but would have been much better persons without the illegitimate, limiting, coercive, divisive, corrupt and self-defeating framework of legalistic, supremacist and self-righteous religion.
