My mom says dont say happy easter cause she is not a part of babylon the great...I said 'Happy Easter' to my brother as a joke and my brother goes back and tells my mom like were little kids (I'm 29 and he's 27 with a new baby by the way) and my mom writes me a lengthy email about how I shouldnt joke about babylon the great. I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS!!!! I am 29 years old, 29. And I can't joke around.

I know all j-dubs arent like this, but a lot of them are just like my mom. I swear they are the hypocritical people on the face of the planet. I asked my mom if she would go to my friend's wedding and she said that she would go to the reception, but since me and her got into it, she wasnt going to it. I can't believe how I put my personal feelings aside to compromise for her, for people at the KH but she has a problem doing it. Unbelieveable.

GRRRR!!! I've seen that kind of thing happen, though not to me so much. I can't imagine how angry that would make me if my family did that.

I forgot to add that my brother is a wanna be JW's who havent been back to hall for 5 years (until recently). He still clings to our mom's everyword and acts like she's second in command to JW, god, whatever. I'm thinking to myself, dude, you need a reality check big time. This is the same woman that excluded him from our little brother's Jehovah's witness graduation party because he wasnt a JW's. I'm thinking to myself, I love you mom, but you are truly brainwashed..

I forgot to add, that my mother said that the memorial is on the correct day of jesus's death, while christiendom just picks a random day because it is pagan. Of course the society has it right, everybody else is wrong.

Sadly she is brainwashed. With jws they are inflexible and you always have to compromise for them. It is all about obeying the fine print and never letting your guard down. They wouldn't see it as bad manners to go to someone's wedding reception without having gone to the ceremony. For them they didn't get involved in false religion so they are still in good standing. It is sad but not untypical.

It's the same as saying Good Luck! Or You're lucky. No no no. You must say fortunate. *ugh* *insert eyeroll* They are such babies and really know how to be pedantic about such arbitary shit.
