From the opposite side of the political spectrum as Ms. Jones (and probably Simon), I also agree. Completely.
I am hoping the political fights here can be kept to a minimum this election season.
+1 I like discussion as discussion, as in a free and fair trade of opinions and supporting facts. I used to be a leftist, then I became more moderate, then became more rightist. At the moment I'm tired of it all, but given the effect on all of us politics is a hard topic to let go.

Indeed. We've been through revolution, formation of a new system of government, civil war, depressions, world wars, alcohol, prohibition, drugs, reality TV and any number of other disasters. Some how we've muddled through and we're still here.
