    Hello all,

First of all, I really appreciate it when official, especially "secret," BOE letters and the like are posted here. It's great to have that stuff on hand, straight from the horse's... uhh...mouth, when certain "friends" deny the Slave would ever do or say such and such...

Anyway, there have been some references to a letter they sent out about using iPads and the like during congregation meetings. Could anyone provide a scan or link to this letter? That would be really nice to have.

Thanks in advance to anyone who posts a copy.

    Regards to all,

    Radar

I hope this unleashes a tide of people loading their iPads with apostate material (or, better yet, Satanist material) and reading that during the boasting session. Or, they can read something else (preferably something that glorifies the demons), or play around during the boasting session.

The letter says that they don't want them being used from the platform, ie, while giving talks.

It does not say they can't be used during meetings from a person's seat. Some of the publishers have their WT on PDF, even underline ti and make comments, etc. on their tablet.

Do you think the tablets that Moses got were an early version ? I think God edited them didn't he ? much easier to do electronically in "word" than with a chisel on stone. Come to think of it, God only used one finger, perhaps he was new to typing.

According to the posts over on JWTalk....

"The letter said the brothers could not use it on the stage, but sitting at their seats was fine."

That was in USA. I have not heard of any announcement in the U K

What's the reasoning behind banning their use from the platform?

I heard about this only I heard it was a Kindle. My (wacky, self-righteous) cousin (the one who argued with me on Facebook about women wearing pants to the meetings) told me it was because it would be distracting to see a bro on the platform with one and that it would make new ones or the rank and file want to go out and buy one or feel like they had to buy it. (LOL okay then...) and that only the regular Bible would be allowed on the platform.
