The word apostate is like the word communist, back in the 50's. Wanna hang some suspicion on someone, just allude to apostate wording in someone's conversation and it's on. All the good work one has done is now all under suspicion. Every good deed will be scrutinized for motive. Every talk will be picked through for apostate teachings. It's a career ending accusation, which requires zero basis from the accuser, but demands explanations, and accountability from the person accused

I told them, that was the first time a Witness had ever told me that a WatchTower was apostate!
Moshe, shortly after the 1975 fiasco, I showed an elder-in-denial photocopies of what the WT had said, along with copies of excerpts from The Finished Mystery and Millions Now Living Will Never Die and asked him for an explanation.
He started yelling at me and denounced it all as garbage, pornography, and apostate literature!
I asked him how we can know when WT publications stop being the truth and turn into apostate literature, pornography, and garbage.
He stalked out of my living room and never talked to me again.

Yes it's apostate, all old light technically is apostate according to their own standards, however they'll quote the snot out of it if it has just one morsel they can still use; but we aren't supposed to go back and look for ourselves because well, it's apostate.

That google image search has a really good laundry list of WT expose' sites and I always claim ignorance- as I never directed them to click those apostate websites- I just asked them to look at the cover of a 1914 WT mag and offer me their opinion-
