Bible is a fatally flawed, earlier revelation and following it will lead to eternal punishment in hell.
I think this is true.
More and more people suffer each day. It looks like it is proceeding exponentially. The result for the world is a living hell. Why is it happening? The Bible has been rewritten to lead people away from the one to whom it belongs. I believe truth unites with spirit to lead a person to life. It is God's will. But the Bible has been misunderstood. Think of the drama that the Bible relates. Then apply it to God's Word. People are being led by an incorrect understanding of it.
The world is in the dark. These are the dark ages.
Eloquent, N, but is it true? I read what you have written above and my mind is filled with questions. What makes you believe these things so strongly? Was it the Bible the understanding of which you acknowledge is interpretive? It seems to me you have chosen to believe some things but not others, but that is what everyone who believes the Bible does, after all.
I believe the man Jesus was dedicated to straitening out the way people saw God. I believe the nation of Israel is was a reflective drama of the world's spiritual progress. There will be an end. Will it be good? I'm praying for it to be good. People trust love too much, don't they?
The Nation of Israel was enslved under law. It is assumed they were slaves of law to obey. No, I think they were slaves to write it. To make real. It's not happening. I think a lot of mental illness is a result of having a realization of what should be real, but isn't.
We keep circling back to belief. Do you ever ask yourself, really ask yourself honestly, why you believe these things, why you believe in God and Jesus? Why you believe the things you do about Isreal and the end of the world as it is? Love is the only thing you can trust, but only if that love is real. This excludes faith because faith demands accepting as truth that which cannot be demonstrated.
And, yes, the world is a living hell, N. It has been ever thus. This is a fact. The world has always been a living hell. My parents' generation saw the horrors of WW2 and shared the deprivations of the great depression with their parents, who lived through the almost as horrible WW1. Previous generations lived under the repressive regimes of monarchs and priests who could end your life in the most brutal of ways with impunity. There has not been a golden age of humanity. However, the world is not getting worse, it is getting better, but only for some, like you and me. We can expect to live healthier, longer and more fulfilled lives than our parents. That is something you can measure. If there is any other measure that matters, I don't know what it is.
Pleasure chatting with you.
Thank you. It is a pleasure chatting with you too!
Why you believe the things you do about Isreal and the end of the world as it is?
I know because I have seen the drama match the reality. It is true I can not prove it. I know that the drama was to end with the end of the man Jesus. But I know that the world mocks what was accomplished. It didn't learn. I think that it might. But it isn't something to be expected. I don't know how to explain it. If people saw what I see, there would be no doubt that God is.
Do you ever ask yourself, really ask yourself honestly,... why you believe in God and Jesus?
I don't know why I believe in God and Jesus. I think I want to.
I do remember why I believe in God. I made a promise. And I'm keeping it. It makes me very unpopular. I sometimes care and sometimes I don't.
Could your belief that the Bible is the perfect and inalterable Word of God possibly be wrong too?
This question will never receive a straight answer. Try getting someone to confirm or deny if certain scriptures are scripture or not and the subject is changed or brushed off...however....the claim is still made, as a fact, that some of the bible is inspired but some of it isn't....a fact that cannot be supported when specific verses are questioned.
It's enough to make your head spin around!....I saw that in The Exorcist...now some of that movie is fiction....but I know that some of it is true...and I'm not going to tell you what is, except to say...the bits about Jesus are true....LOL.......therefore....I shall refer to "The Exorcist" when making my point about who God is.......but I might pick some other holy writings like....'The Passion of Christ'....now there is a lot of information about God in there...surfice to say...it is not ALL scripture...but I will follow what agrees with what Christ said....and he does say quite a bit in that movie.
"I don't know why I believe in God and Jesus. I think I want to."
Sans end.
