The WTS since its beginning in the late 1800's has been running unregulated within free religious expression through publication of literature, combined with open unregulated capitalism, particularly pre 1980's.
It is the essential longest operating commercialized false prophet active in religious charlatanism world wide.

Today at the Circuit Assembly in London, OH they said that so far in 2018, there has been $30 million spent on relief work. My guess is that for every house that gets repairs they are asking the owner to send in their check from the insurance company to Warwick.

"...it turns out the WT is no different from any other religion..."
Arguably worse, when you think about it.

WTBTS “relief work” = buying a translation office ( Lake Front Property ) to spiritually feed people and give them relief from “false religion.”

While the article makes good points, some things are a bit out of date. Circuit assemblies are only one day now, and there are no districts any more. They are just ‘regional conventions’.

They make other religions out to be false financial scams to deflect attention off of their first-class fraud. They are full of deception and black magic.

30 million is peanuts for relief work. And most or all of it was donated (coerced) from fellow believers. I have never heard of any displaced family being put up in a hotel, just in the homes of some better off witness.
Don't forget to make your check out to world wide work, not a specific disaster. Last charitable donations I made were to give money to a needy couple directly, and I took some of the funds from what would have been in the contribution box otherwise. Knew of the good they had done in the past so I figured it was only the pay it forward type of thing.
I never contribute to anything but the local hall; they send enough on to the top from the cong account.
