Just wondering if anyone knows if there will be any earth shattering information at it or will it just be a rehash of the same old nonsense.

Funny you should mention that Zeroday. I usually go out for breakast by myself on the days my wife goes to her assemblies. I'm at the Gypsy Den in Santa Ana having breakast right now and two women just walked up and peeked in the window. Right way I could see that they were JWs in service. In one of there bags I could see a magazine or large tract sticking out that read in huge letters " ARMAGEDDON". There still out there counting time and trying to scare others into there miserable lifestlye. You have to feel for them.

I've been. I can't separate the drivel from news. The reduced Watchtower was mentioned. The overall theme was "Let God's WTS's Will Take Place."
I'd say the overall theme was obedience....

(I always wonder about the three dots. Here is 1 Peter 4 in context:

I get it. It is implied that the earthly life will be supplanted by a heavenly one. Oops)

So was my husband. I told him not to take too seriously to the current true that's being told at the assembly. He will be DFed for believing what's being told today if he still believe in 5 years later or sooner. The offense?-Brazen Conduct!

Just got back from the SAD myself. Nothing earth shattering. A little college bashing. Some porn talk right in the middle of the baptism talk which was weird. . . I think about a dozen got baptized - the highest I've seen in years, its usually just 3 or 4 kids.
Only took 2 Xanax to survive.

Dear brothers and sisters. Are there any families in your home congregation doing it tough? Please consider carefully if your resources may be more needed locally than in Brooklyn, New York.
(This is based on a personal "light bulb" moment when I was financially prosperous and attending a convention. I was about to make my biggest ever donation into a collection box when a little inner voice made me instead give it all to a sister whose husband was without work. Turns out it came at a much needed time and really meant a lot to this sister who was also being badly ostracised by villainous self-righteous individuals in her congregation at the time).
