  That would be funny if they soon die out in older democratic societies and increase dramatically in China, North Korea soon, and other former totalitarian systems. It would work as long as the populace are still conditioned to worship the "beloved leader" and the other totalitarian institutions there. They could start all over and it would be like Orwell's 1984 in N. Korea!

  But they would have to put some Asians on the GB. Kim Jong Il would have been a great head of the Service Dept.!

  hey, it could happen! Once N. Korea is opened to the rest of the world, you can be sure the WT will be on the first plane there. No jokey.

  Wouldn't happen in the older Muslim societies, or even the newer ones. They would form 3000 sects within 2 years and be at war with each other. LOL

  RP - I didn't mean it in a mean-spirited way, though I will confess to being cynical about 'religion'.

  Watching the video reminded me of the PTL Club, and Jimmy Swaggart-type evangelizers. So naturally, my thoughts said 'follow the money'.

  I also agree that many religious folk (believers/individuals) are sincere in their desire to proselytize to bring people to Christ, as they would say. Some of my close friends are religious. And yes, I've talked about this recently - the churches here are the ones who help people. The 7th Day Adventists have a huge mission here with their food and furniture bank, the RC's with their St. Vincent de Paul Society, and I know the Lutherans do a lot for the community.
