Good job outsmartthesystem!! Do you mind if I write my aunt about your letter. Although my aunt has not been closely associated with NOW recently, she was very active in NOW in the 1960's and 1970's in Manhattan.
Peace be with you and everyone, who you love,
Robert

Please go right ahead. The more people that are exposed to the workings of this cult the better

Would be so awesome if anyone gave a crap, but unfortunately...no one does. The ORG ($500M - $1B strong) has too much pull and mind-control over its members, and the organization (to the outside world) is so small, they figure "if you don't like your religion...just leave". I wouldn't be surprised if the ORG. donates money to political interests (bribes) in order to keep their operations going. They make enough money to give a million or two to each of their "almost" 8Million members...yet most JWs are lower-middle to lower-class in income. Talk about using the "system of things" to the full. The WTBTS does it better than any JW I ever knew...

Hi outsmartsthesystem, I will contact my aunt. In the mean time I submitted the following email to NOW.
Peace be with you and everyone, who you love,
Robert
Dear NOW Representative,
If you feel that tax exempt, non-profit organizations should not promote that women be subservient to men or rationalize spousal abuse, please read the February 2012 Watchtower (study edition), “Happiness is Possible in a Divided Household” on page 29, paragraph 12. NOW members could protest against the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society and feed the persecution complex of Jehovah’s Witnesses, or try something different that might help victims of thought control.
The Watchtower in my opinion is a “dangerous cult” according to the writings of Steve Hassan (www.freedomofmind.com). The Watchtower organization has used thought reform techniques (i.e., mind control) on over 600,000 American women (60% of Jehovah’s Witnesses) and 400,000 American men.
Please read a White House petition that I wrote using either of the following links: www.whitehouse.gov/petitions/!/petition/protect-americans-dangerous-cults-modify-usc-title-26-§-501-tax-exemptions-requirements/ZHpbvHfx , wh.gov/Er4 , or www.bit.ly/whitehouse-petition that is intended to stop financially supporting dangerous cults. If you agree with the petition please post it on your website at www.now.org and/or email it to your members for the next 26 days. If 25,000 people (Americans only, probably) sign this petition by May 26, 2012, the White House Staff will review this petition.
The February 2012 Watchtower magazine can be downloaded at www.jw.org/index.html?option=QrYQCsVrGZNT by clicking on the digital publications – magazines link, selecting February 2012 in the drop-down menu, and then selecting the PDF link for the “Watchtower (Study) — February 15, 2012”. For more information about the White House Petition, please write me.
Sincerely,
Robert
