Welcome BallyIrish
Can you give us more details of what has happened? We are here to support you as many here have been treated harshly or unjustly by elders so understand how you feel.

There are no mechanisms within the organisation, you will just be told to "wait on Jehovah".
If you just remember elders are just silly little men, and don't allow them to hold any power over you, their power will go away.

Here is a good place to start...welcome BallyIrish.... I'm sure you will receive some great advice and suggestions.
Maybe you would like to expand a bit about what they are doing?
I have to go to bed sorry...it is getting late in NZ. Great to have you on the forum...

A hearty welcome to the forum BallyIrish!
Talking to others that have been through similar and understand is way better than the glass-eyed look you'd get in the Watchtower or from an ignorant therapist.
A good Psychologist is worth their weight in gold!
It is a process and a difficult journey, but well worth it to see through flimsy Pharisees.
May you enjoy your stay and discussions and make some good friends too.
BTW we're quite a mixed bag here but mostly are able to agree to disagree without hitting each other over the head.

There is no complaint mechanism if you were to write to the CO it would backfire on you most probably as it would be seen as you having a proud attitude. There is very little recourse legally since a religion can do what they like because they are a religious group.
There are strategies you can take that will put the elders firmly in their place and stop the bullying but without more detail it is difficult to know exactly what to suggest.

Your local police would probably be a good place to start. Depending on your jurisdiction and if you have good evidence (written evidence from that elder or elder body is the best), this may fly in court. IANAL but you can always try.
Forget going to CO/branch level because it will just be ignored, at best he'll get reprimanded privately.

If you can prove real consequences in your life because of their harrassment you might think about consulting a lawer and filing a civil suit against those SOB's.

Welcome!
It's really hard to answer your question without some details.
There are many here with lots and lots of experience on both sides of these kinds of issues. I myself was an elder for over 20 years. Perhaps we could help give some suggestions and outline the possible consequences of any action or inaction on your part.
