    Hey Simon,

    Pass this message to Debbie:

Debbie writes much like Fredhall. That is how you know she is really a Jehovah's Witless.

Is this a light saber in my pocket or am I just happy to see you?

Earnest; I thought you made an interesting point... I'd say there were a few specific groups that one can find represented in the Dubs.

As you said, there are the illiterate - or perhaps better described as the ignorant. Whilst they might not be unintellegent 'out of the box', their background (either within the Dubs if born in or prior to the Dubs if brought in) has left them with little in the way of critical thinking ability.

Creatives are most frequently brought in; there is rather fallow ground for the development of creatives born in the Dubs. I think creatives are seduced by the romance; living forever in paradise, having an infinate amount of time to develop their art.

The deductive can be born in or brought in; those with above average intellegence born in often consume the entire doctrine, and as, internally, this can seem quite logical, convince themselves they are right. Those outside can be attracted by this apparent internal logic, especially if outside factors make seeking shelter within an apparently comforting alternate logical world attractive.

Outside factors lead to another group of Witnesses, the helpless. Any research into cults will show entry into a cult is frequently coupled with major stress; a death of a loved one for example. Then, by chance, a Dub knocks on the door, and makes it all better. The helpless can stay in, or once they recover, exit.

Then you have the utilitarians. They see the structure of the Dubs as beneficial to themselves; how else can a little uneducated man lord it over a hundred people? This power becomes primary to all other considerations of faith.

I'm sure there are other groups too...

As for Simon's delightful correspondant... mad? In everyday terms, yes. Clinically? if she's clinically mad, then an awful lot of people of fundamental religous beliefs are clinically mad... look at the train massacre in India; 55+ dead, burned alive, women and children, due to fundamental Muslims being pissed off with fundamental Hindus.

    FundaMENTAL... hmmmm...

People living in glass paradigms shouldn't throw stones...
