Okay, I'm trying firefox now so hopefully it works this time. I'm writing a paper on JW for my religion class, and I was thought it would be nice to have input from current or previous members. Anything you think would be important would be great! Thank you!

What is the topic of your paper? A general survey of the religion?

Just about the religion as a whole.

I just thought that after I wrote my paper that it would be nice to have a section in there of what members or previous members think of the religion, important facts that may not be in books, or anything else. I'm just bored with reading books about it. I want to hear from people.

This site along with most other JW discussion forums are made up of mostly mainly ex-JW's. You can get your info from ex-JW's here, but I think most current JW members don't participate in online JW discussion forums. The best way to get their stories or statements is probably to visit a Kingdom Hall. If you get there early enough you can probably interview some members without having to stay for the service.

I think that the views of ex-JW's would be the best. They aren't trying to hide anything. From what I've read on here the members are more likely to try to cover up anything they don't want others to know, and will defend their religion. I want to know what it's really like, not what they try to get people to believe.

Haven't you ever seen, Survivor, or Celebrity Apprentice at the end of the show? What do you think about the comments of the ones who just got Voted off/fired? Don't they sound bitter, or one sided? It hard to present a story that is only one sided.

It would be better to present both sides. The ones surviving it, and the ones that left for not being able to live up to it.

    Just my thoughts.
