I used to go clubbing which was OK in Spain, elders used to go too.

The worst thing I did though was frequent gay bars. As long as I didn't go there for sex I didn't see how it could be a problem

I was told by an elder that because I went to a bar owned by K.... a (non witness) friend who had a drag act (he was gay too) I was condoning his lifestyle but I have always had gay friends and unless an elder told me point blank not to associate with them I did, and no elder ever did.

I did have a sister tell me quite strongly that it would break Jehovah's heart to hear me say that P....(gay) and a neighbour was my best friend and not Him. I did feel guilty but not enough to end the friendship.
