Last year someone, I think it was the lovely YNOT, posted most of the talks from Wisconsin, which is 25-27 May this year.
So much more civilised listening at home without the trail to the actual convention.

I heard they have a "New Slogan"............
Stay alive till 35!! LOL
Interesting about a possible new study book for prospective members, cutting referance to 1914. My last bible study before I 'woke up' was with a university student, who looked at me like I was crazy as I was reading a paragraph about 1914...I will never forget that. I himmed and hawed, and weaseled my way out of it...but problem was I thought it was stupid too. Smartest thing he did was cancel with me about a month later. In fact I was almost relieved. They'd be smart to cut that out of a new book.
I think they'e hard-pressd to come up with any nedw, fresh material; more likely an updated (recycled) version of something .....
I think the biggest factor is that of cost. Over the years since the donation arrangement, especially after '08, the releases have gotten fewer, leaner, and cheaper. I don't expect anything this time over 32 pages, maybe a DVD. If there is a book, it will be a paperback 192 pager at most.
I have always looked forward to the new convention releases, especially books, and still do.
Isn't that strange?
The last DC I attended was 12 years ago.
I always wanted an updated "Is This Life All There Is?" book.
An updated proclaimers book is due as is a new reasoning book.
If you live in the vicinity of a convention, please write to the news media and give them some reasons to ask JWs some real questions when the reporter is assigned to do the obligatory JW puff peace at convention time--
no doubt there will be a bigging up the new website. launches in June
a friend of mine has recently started at university and because of this his father felt he could not accept a privilege, so had to turn down a DC talk on higher education because his son is at university.
i think it was based on the dangers of pursuing higher education

The cognitive dissonance must be palpable.
My guess is an updated "My Book of Bible Stories" with the bad art and blood and guts cleaned up for the 21st century.
