WOW---first they constantly tell the kids that they shouldn't be too trendy and concerned with brand names. Then they tell them they should be thrifty. This ultimately leads them to fake brand names---trying to be stylish but still living within these limits. That's if they get new clothes at all. Nothing wrong with second-hand, I love it, but it seems to be even more important to the group that is the lowest paid among all religions. But now---cheating is like fake brand names?
Does this equation work in reverse? Are fake brand names like cheating?
Bastards. They are so freaking awful to kids---why not just smash them with a load of bricks. There is not one normal f**king thing that they do that is considered okay.
It brings back a memory though. The kids were always told they should avoid Teen magazines. They were vain, the morals were loose, and why would you want to look like the world anyway? So this sister I knew had some friction in her house, because her normal teenaged daughter was attracted to teen fashion magazines, and she had laid down the law. But then there was this article aimed at teens and they quoted---------SEVENTEEN Magazine! She was so upset. All this tension over these magazines, and the society was quoting from them. She even went to an elder and told him about it, and how that made a really negative impresion on her daughter and weakened her case. The elder just looked at her like she shouldn't be questioning the org. Crazy.
