Those of you who attened the assemblies this year, did
you see any demonstration? Years ago, at the large assemblies
there were always someone holding signs. I think we learn
this is not an effective means to help someone out of the cult.

I have never seen anyone protesting at any assembly I ever attended - Evansville, IN or Louisville, KY
F awake, that,s good..
I saw an elderly gentleman once with a sign "REPENT" nailed to a cross on the lawn in front of our assembly sight....the attendants and those driving by ignored him.
The internet is alot more effective on warnin' people about this cult
than protestin' at assemblies
The raving ranting demonstrators at Yankee Stadium back in the 1970s and 80s had no affect on me.
Other than, they were "of Satan" and just pushed me further into my mother's chosen cult.
Epic fail. To this day I have nothing but sheer resentment towards them.
So I focus instead on "worldly people."
Worldly people don't give a flying eff that JW children are abused, that happens in every faith.
Worldly people don't give a flying eff that JWs refuse blood. So what if stupid people reject medicine? That's their own fault, right?
What they truly want to know is how to get JWs off their doorsteps. Just make them go away.
Simple simple. Politely explain how to be put on the Do Not Call List. You can shut down entire neighborhoods this way. The results are exponential.
You can rant, rave, b*tch and scream all you want at JWs and nothing will get through to them. Scientific facts and documented history mean nothing to them.
But speak with your neighbors, coworkers, classmates about how to *legally* address their incessant preaching, and everyone wants to know about the Witnesses.
How to get rid of them.

the last few DA's I attended just had signs posted at the entrances. The huge crowds died off after the early 90's. The internet does a much better job
The internet is the sleeping giant that will re-awaken those in the religion ,especially the young. smiddy
well it's easy on the net. No looking over your shoulder. I remmeber going to the library to look up other opinons on JW beliefs, and I was practically soiling my jeans, worried that someone I knew might walk in and see me
a few years the protesters used to gather at Twickenham, some years they were there some years none, one year there must have been about 20 odd of them some even with musical instruments, on year I definitely did notice a placard with the dates of 1874,1799,1914,1919 1935 and 1974 and wondered about these dates, but , but I was always of the opinion that members of the real truth would suffer persecution, the new concourse layout and development of Twickers now probably makes it easier for apostate protests as there are no main gates now the concourse has been beautifully blended into the sidewalk.
