Hey, thanks for the thoughts you guys.

Yes, the doc said something about fissures, or internal 'roids. GOD, I hate the word 'roids. The problem could be due to the shitloads of popcorn that I eat, he said. I know the drill. More fibre. The doc said I should be taking a dose of metamucil every night. So, I'll do those things, take a shit test in a week, and go from there.

Funny thing is, I feel fine and have always been 'regular'. Oh for god's sake, I feel like an old bastard discussing these things.

    Hi TR,

As you may know, i had rectal cancer 3 years ago--it seems as if i've told the whole world! So, i know what you're going thru. While waiting for my colonoscopy i read a book from the library, but it's also at Amazonhttp://images.amazon.com/images/P/1555610803.01.MZZZZZZZ.jpg

It was very helpful. I think educating oneself is the most important feature in coping with the angst one goes thru when faced with a possible life-threatening disease. The book is very thorough and in paperback.

Please feel free to e-mail me if you want. I just had a colonoscopy about 3 weeks ago (fun . . . )

Hang in there! And try not to imagine the worst . . . at least all the time. It's a huge thing to deal with.

Please let us know whenever you get any new information.

    warmly,
    Pat

The pic didn't come thru of the book, so i'll try again. Btw, my only symptom was bleeding too. It was from a polyp 5 inches 'in.' The surgeon told me only 25% of polyps bleed, so i was verrry lucky.

LOL, now you got a HUGE picture of the stupid book! Sorry! Hope it doesn't embarrass you! But having a problem in that area soon makes one lose such sensitivities . . . almost.
