I don't know if anyone posted this yet, but the kids singing this song made me even more sick to my stomach then some parts of the viedo, I hate this song because you know what they mean by "Listen obay and be blessed" - translation: you MUST listen to the governing body or else!
Say what you want... I like that melody. They did a good job on it.
Your translation of the lyrics is accurate, though.
I hate that song. Once you hear it you cannot get it out of your mind. Maybe that's why they used it.

didn't the jw's teach you that the beat or melody is what hooks you?
you are supposed to examine the lyrics and the bands lifestyle to see if you should be listening to the song or not.

well since I don't know who the author is, I cannot determine what sort of person he is. His beliefs, moral standards, etc. So with that I would have to remove this song from m y household as I cannot determine, if having this person in my house via his music, is of a spiritual benefit or detriment
I just watched about 20 seconds of this, and I physically can't. I'm currently still living at home and "have" to attend the meetings, but there are a lot of the newer songs that I will flat-out refuse to sing. This one is one of the worst, in my opinion.
It's a blatantly mind-controlling song... and the lyrics can be summed up to "If we unquestioning obey anyone (Christ, then god, and then THE BROTHERS??? WTF?) claiming that they're fulfilling god's ambiguous will, we'll be 'happy' and 'blessed'"

BTW, I HATE HATE HATE the new song book with all it's brain-washingly monotone hell-o-dies. Why don't they just cut to the chase and play a hypnosis recording for 2-3 minutes, at least that would be more tolerable.
