Interesting....kind of a rock, paper, scissor thing here. If Thor beats Sparlock, Sparlock can beat Superman since Supes is vulnerable to magic, but Superman beat Thor in a Marvel/DC crossover a while ago.
And wha happened?, easy. Peewee beats all.
And why are we talking about Santa Claus worship here? We aren't even talking Sparlock worship (I'm sticking with Thor).

Sparlock is just an imaginary WT creation, but because all of the Watchtower's enemies are imaginary, Sparlock becomes real

I have to come down on the side of Thor. He's a real god of old, and he has a hammer.
Sparlock, while he is a warrior wizard, is only a byproduct of the Watchtower's inane plotting.
Thor has a much better base of operations: Asgard and while on Earth, Avengers/Shield. Sparlock: trash bin.

I dunno, it could go either way. Since, like the WT, Sparlock only has the power over you that you give him.

Bit to the point about supes victory in the dc/marvel crossover- crossovers are "ok" but reality is dc rules commics in terms of sales, so margel tends to get short shrift in them. Also concider that the man o steel (a childhood favorite for this poster) is dc commics number one man, followed closley by bats... Thor is not marvels number one seller, or even close. While i worship and love Thor, his commic sales dont always rock. So its only natural dc sways things so that supes edged a victory. It was counter balanced though in that supes had to uses the thunderer's power (through mjolnir) to ultimat victory of the main villian, and once done couldnt lift the hammer again. He and thor man hugged and made up , but common, Thor clearly wins.
Sparlock dosent even have a seat at that table.

He's the god of thunder! Thunder is Thor's domain, his weapon, he rides on thunder...oh, wait a muiute, wasn't there another god who rode on thunder. Who came first, the desert god or Thor?
Sparlock is great. He strikes me as a wizard with attitude, and I can go with that. But he isn't a god.
